Another glowing review on Dealer Rater! Thanks Mike!

- We bought a certified used Honda, 2009 Odyssey from White Plains Honda. This was by far the best experience I've ever had purchasing a car. I dealt with Sandy, Juan, Gustavo, and Joe the manager. All were extremely friendly, patient, helpful and they did everything to make our purchase enjoyable. They went the extra mile in getting the car ready and detailed and wouldn't let us take it until it was perfect. I will definitely purchase my next certified car from While Plains Honda! -Mike L.

Thank you Nicole, for taking the time to write this great review! Way to go team!

- Overall, my visit to White Plains Honda was positive. Isaac, our salesman, was kind and listened to our needs. When we negotiated price, Kurt and Isaac were flexible and when all was said and done we walked out of the dealership satisfied. Brandi was very helpful with the setup and use of all the gadgets in the car. -Nicole R.

Collegiate Women Sports Awards Presents 2012 Honda Cup to Baylor University's Brittney Griner

"On the 40th anniversary of Title IX, it's a great day in the history of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards to look back on 36 years of our own history and honor such a game-changing athlete as Baylor University's Brittney Griner," said Jean Lenti Ponsetto, CWSA Chairwoman of the Board and Athletics Director at DePaul University. "This is a great day for the intercollegiate athletics community as we showcase the nation's best of the best in women's collegiate athletics live on ESPNU."
The Baylor University junior was selected by the Collegiate Women Sports Awards program, now in its 36th year, from a trio of finalists that included soccer midfielder Teresa Noyola of Stanford University and softball pitcher Keilani Ricketts of the University of Oklahoma. Griner received the Honda Cup at the live ceremony that also featured Honda Inspiration Award recipient Elena Delle Donne of the University of Delaware, top Division II athlete Kari Daugherty of Ashland University and Division III athlete Stacey Hagensen of Pacific Lutheran University.
"I'm honored to even be here, even to be in the room with these athletes," said Griner. "I'm at a loss for words. When I look at myself, it is definitely humbling. My mom and my dad they've been there through everything for me. My mom hasn't made a lot of my games due to illness, but she's always calling me before and after my games. My dad comes to every game; he drives three hours even though he has to be at work at seven in the morning. He took me everywhere to play when I was younger, he would always take time off and come to my games. This is an honor for my entire family, it's amazing."
Griner, who counts 2008 Honda Cup winner Candace Parker as her favorite player, led Baylor to a perfect season and the Division I women's basketball championship. She averaged 23.2 points per game, a Big 12 scoring record, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.2 shot blocks, the highest in the nation. So far in her career at Baylor, the 6-foot-8 center has scored 2,425 points and 599 shot blocks and is the first collegiate player to reach 2,000 points and 500 blocks. She received the John R. Wooden Award and was named the 2012 AP Player of the Year. She has said she will forgo entering the WNBA to return to Baylor. As a player at Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas, she drew national attention for her dunking ability.
Griner, Noyola and Ricketts emerged as the CWSA's "Best of the Best" on the Road to the 2012 Honda Cup that included Honda Sports Award Winners in 12-NCAA sanctioned sports. The Collegiate Women Sports Awards has honored the nation's top NCAA women athletes for 36 years, recognizing not only superior athletics skills, but also leadership, academic excellence and eagerness to participate in community service. Honda has been a sponsor of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards for the past 26 years. Since commencing its sponsorship in 1986, Honda has provided more than $2.5 million in institutional grants to the universities of the award winners and nominees to support women's athletics programs at the institutions. The 2011-2012 Honda Sports Award winners are Sheila Reid of Villanova University (cross country), Megan Frazer of the University of Maryland (field hockey), Teresa Noyola of Stanford University (soccer), Alex Jupiter of the University of Southern California (volleyball), Caitlin Leverenz of the University of California, Berkeley (swimming & diving), Brittney Griner of Baylor University (basketball), Kytra Hunter of the University of Florida (gymnastics), Brooke Pancake of the University of Alabama (golf), Nicole Gibbs of Stanford University (tennis), Taylor Thornton of Northwestern University (lacrosse), Keilani Ricketts of the University of Oklahoma (softball), Honda Division II Athlete of the Year, Kari Daugherty of Ashland University, Honda Division III Athlete of Year (basketball), Stacey Hagensen of Pacific Lutheran University (softball), and the 2012 Honda Inspiration Award Winner, Elena Delle Donne of the University of Delaware (basketball). Previous Honda Cup winners include Ann Meyers Drysdale, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mia Hamm, Lisa Fernandez, Misty May-Treanor, Courtney Kupets, Maya Moore, and Candace Parker.

Thank you to the author of this awesome review! Keep up the great work team!

- Very professional and customer service oriented person. I had visited three other Honda dealerships before going to this one and not one of my dealers were as professional as Alex. I would highly recommend my friends and family members to deal with him. He is an honest dealer. Not trying to play games with people as I experienced at the other Honda dealerships I went to. Alex definitely made my first leasing experience a good one! I am happy with my first new car purchase! -mel115656

Thank you to the author of this awesome review! Keep up the great work team!

- Overall we had a good experience with WP Honda and would definitely recommend to others looking for a used certified vehicle. We had done our research before buying and chose to drive almost two hours because they had the best prices with low mileage. We called ahead to make sure that a vehicle we saw online would be there we were told that it was. After driving two hours they couldn't find the vehicle that we had called about. It was frustrating but in the end we left with another vehicle and we are very happy with it. The car we bought was new to their lot but wish it had been detailed inside before driving it home. Joe called after we were home to make sure we were satisfied, we have had the vehicle less than a week but we are very pleased and would definitely buy another vehicle at WP Honda and will recommend to others. -Curabba

Thank you to the author of this glowing review! Way to go Keith!

- I am a CT resident and researched online pre-owned Honda CR-Vs in Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. I went to three dealers in New York (which had the best prices overall) and my second stop (on a Sunday) was at White Plains Honda. Unfortunately, the price of the 2010 Honda CR-V EXL I came to see was above my budgeted amount, but after a search, it was ascertained that they had just taken in trade the exact same model which was going through the pre-owned certification process. Since it was a Sunday, they were unable to provide me with any information about the vehicle, but Keith got back to me during the week to advise me about the vehicle (which was exactly what I wanted, even to the color) and gave me their best price, which happily was within my price range. We managed to get the financing approval finalized quickly through email and fax, and on Friday, Keith picked me up at the train station. The paperwork and financing were all taken care of quickly and, a short time later, I was driving my dream car, a certified 2010 Honda CR-V EXL, home to North Haven, Connecticut. Before I left the dealership, Keith went over every aspect of the vehicle with me. My experience with White Plains Honda was wonderful! There was absolutely no pressure -- instead of trying to sell me, Keith listened to what I wanted in my vehicle, and then took the necessary action to provide me with it. I will buy my next vehicle from White Plains Honda -- and I have told everyone I meet about my wonderful experience with Keith and the dealership. I am loving my vehicle! -BAMLevine

Collegiate Women Sports Awards Announces The Top Three Finalists For The 2012 Honda Cup

Griner, a 6-foot-8 center who is only the second woman to dunk in NCAA tournament play, led the Baylor women's basketball team to a historic 40-0 season and the 2012 NCAA Div. I Women's Basketball Championship. Griner, who received the John R. Wooden Award and was named the 2012 AP Player of the Year, averaged 23.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and a national high 5.2 blocks per game this season, setting a Big 12 women's scoring record. At the end of three seasons, the junior also became the first women's collegiate player to score more than 2,000 points and block more than 500 shots and needs just 65 blocks to become the all-time block shot leader. In Baylor's 80-61 NCAA title victory over the Lady Irish of Notre Dame, Griner had 26 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Griner is a general studies major with an emphasis on outdoor recreation and will return to Baylor for her senior season.
Noyola, a senior midfielder, scored the game-winning goal in Stanford's 1-0 victory over Duke University for the 2012 NCAA Div. I Women's Soccer Championship. Noyola was also named a first-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, becoming only the second Stanford player to receive three consecutive first-team honors. Stanford finished the season undefeated, and Noyola's squad amassed a four-year record of 95-4-4. Noyola had 15 assists for the year and 60 in her college career, the second highest in Stanford history. She was also selected as the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Noyola is majoring in math and computational science at Stanford.
"I'm honored to be part of this prestigious tradition and to represent Stanford," said Noyola. "Over the last four years Stanford has challenged me to strive for excellence on the field and in the classroom, and these values characterize the Honda tradition. This honor caps off a very special year for me and I would like to share this with my Stanford teammates."Ricketts, who pitched her Oklahoma squad to its first appearance in the Women's College World Series in seven years, was honored as the College Softball Player of the Year and has been named to the USA Softball national team for 2012. The junior southpaw struck out 12 batters to lead the Sooners to a 4-1 victory over the University of Alabama in the opening game of the Women's College World Series. Going into the series, Ricketts was second in the nation in pitching with an ERA of .99, second in hits allowed per seven innings with 3.76, second in total strikeouts with 433, and second in strikeouts per seven innings at 11. A native of San Jose, Calif., Ricketts is majoring in health and exercise science at the University of Oklahoma."It is truly an honor to have Keilani recognized as the top student-athlete in collegiate softball," head coach Patty Gasso said. "She is a humble and hard-working person whose dedication to the sport has truly made being her teammate, coach or fan a blessing. Certainly this is not just a reward for Keilani, but for all who have had the opportunity to be associated with her throughout her career."
Griner, Noyola and Ricketts emerged as the CWSA's "Best of the Best" on the Road to the 2012 Honda Cup that included Honda Sports Award winners in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports. They will be joined at the live broadcast of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards in Los Angeles, Calif. by Honda Division II Athlete of the Year, Kari Daughtery of Ashland University, Honda Division III Athlete of the Year, Stacey Hagensen of Pacific Lutheran University, and the 2012 Honda Inspiration Award Winner, Elena Delle Donne of the University of Delaware. Schools, conferences and fans around the country are organizing viewing parties on Saturday to support the women, share in the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Title IX, and the watch the live announcement of this year's Honda Cup winner on ESPNU.

2012 Honda Odyssey Road Test
While the front and rear of the Odyssey remain conservative, the side profile is now aggressive. A controversial lightning bolt beltline is both unique, and helps with visibility for both the driver and the passengers. Inside the Odyssey features a nice swoopy dashboard with lots of interior space.
The front seats are supportive and road-trip-worthy, and there are plenty of storage cubbies. While the second-row seats don't fold flat, they are removable, though they are very heavy. The third row is called the "Magic Seat," and it does fold flat with a simple tug of a strap. Unfortunately the third row is not offered with a power-folding option. All Odysseys have power sliding side doors and rear liftgate.
Our Touring Elite model had the available 16.2-inch-wide, high-definition DVD entertainment system. The system also includes an HDMI input so you can watch HD videos off a PlayStation or other device. Other features we like include the unique cool box feature, which can keep the kids' juice boxes cool. With 15 cup holders on all but the base LX trim, you'll have plenty of juice boxes.
The Odyssey is one of the safest minivans, earning five stars in every crash test category from the NHTSA, and top ratings in every category from the IIHS. It also features six child seat tether locations, and five LATCH locations. We are disappointed that the Bluetooth hands-free system and rearview camera are not available on the base trim, as we consider these safety items.
All Odysseys have a 3.5-liter V-6 under the hood rated at 247 horsepower. Power is sent to the front wheels; all-wheel drive is not available. The Touring trim models receive a six-speed automatic while the LX and EX models make do with a five-speed automatic. With the six-speed the Odyssey is rated at 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The LX and EX models both lose 1 mpg on both sides of the equation, due to their less efficient transmissions.
The bottom line? The 2012 Honda Odyssey is one of the priciest and safest minivans on the market, and one we rate at the top of the class.

Thank you to the authors of these glowing reviews! Great job team!

- This is the second consecutive Honda that I have leased from White Plains Honda, and the experience this time was even better that the excellent experience I had the first time! Mr Blloshmi was thoroughly familiar with the CRV's features and explained them clearly and completely, and Ms Robinson was full of important information about the Blue Tooth system. Everyone seemed dedicated to providing a pleasant, honest, and satisfying experience. I will definitely go back there for my next Honda! By the way, the CRV itself is a fantastic vehicle! -fc173
- James and Paul were very nice to work with and listened to what I had to say and worked hard to help me get what I wanted. I have to say that James Blloshmi went above and beyond the call of duty and continues to be extremely helpful to me even after I have received my car. -Pearlk01

Review: 2012 Honda CR-V
The Walk-Around
At first glance, the CR-V 's exterior design is sleeker and more aggressive compared to its predecessor. It has an aerodynamic stance that gives off a cool vibe, so unlike the grandmotherly models of yester year. A bolder fascia with a three-bar grille, deeply set headlights, more prominent sculpting along the sides, longer roofline, an integrated front bumper that wraps upwards, vertical taillights, beefy fenders flares, large wheels--the CR-V 's entire look says, "I'm a lil' badass!"
Inside Peep
The interior of the CR-V feels sedan-like. The seats front and back are hands-down comfy, supporting you every which way, really good thigh support. The door armrests don't cause elbow nerve pain on long trips! The visibility all-around is noteworthy. Special attention was certainly paid to usable storage spaces like the center console which is roomy enough for your purse or secret stash of on-the-road edibles.
The talls, smalls and pleasingly plumps shouldn't complain about the vehicle's fit and comfort. The rear seats are also pretty accommodating for folks taller than average height. The flat floor takes away any passenger stress for those who have to sit in the middle.
There is ample cargo space and the new easy-fold rear seat makes it a cinch to add more space back there if you need it. Cargo capacity is 37 cubic feet with the seats up and 71 cubic feet when folded down.
Nice features worth tooting: the intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which comes standard on all trims, the instrumentation panel that is ABC-easy to figure out and the multifunction steering wheel with voice-activated controls are standard on all trims. Honorable mention goes to the navigation system and backup camera which were also high quality.
In an effort to further give driver distraction the boot, here's a real kicker that you texters would WANT to love. The i-MID system includes an SMS text-messaging function, which can read incoming texts heard over the audio system, and allows drivers to respond using one of six factory-preset text messages. It currently works with Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® wireless technology and is only compatible with phones that are equipped with the Bluetooth and the Hands-Free profile.
The Ride Factor
Hitting the open road , the CR-V 's cabin is hushed. The ride feels confident, smooth and stable. The CR-V does a pretty impressive job of also sucking up those road thumps. Another plus is that I found the turn radius to be tight for an SUV. Body roll while cornering was kept to a minimum thanks to the vehicle's front and rear stabilizer bars.
Chug-a-lugging up a hill? The compact crossover now comes equipped with a new Hill Start Assist feature, which prevents rollback when the vehicle is stopped on a hill (which comes in handy if you live in a hilly area like yours truly!).
The steering wheel grip felt really good in my hands but the road feel was a smidge vague for my tastes but for most folks, it'll do just fine.
The overall driving experience gets a nod, the ride is very car-like and the power that the CR-V gives you is sufficient for the average Joe or Josephine. Maneuverability is easy-breezy in the CR-V especially when trying to beat that so-and-so to the only available parking space at a mall.
Underneath the hood, there's a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 185 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque it that offers the giddy up of many comparable V-6 engines. The only transmission is a 5-speed automatic, which is pretty smooth. There are two drivetrain choices, front and all-wheel-drive.
The EPA rating for the CR-V is 23 city/31 hwy/26 combined, so no frowns at the pumps.
What's the Final Say-So?
Overall, the 2012 Honda CR-V is a really good fit and great value for anyone looking for a compact SUV. It's a looker, handles like a trooper and is a definite one-size-fits all vehicle worth considering if you're in the market.

Fortunately, two things that didn't change are the CR-V's carlike feel and superb handling. 10 Best Green Cars of 2012 - Honda Civic

The Honda Civic has long been the vanilla ice cream of compact sedans; it's easy to fall back on due to its remarkable reliability and exceptional value. But for 2012, the Civic has evolved into more of a Neapolitan as it presents a choice of three different engine types: gasoline, natural gas and hybrid gas/electric. Considering all of them achieve close to 40 highway mpg, the Civic is an excellent choice no matter what flavor you pick.Courtesy of KBB.com

Driven: 2012 Honda CR-V
Perhaps that's why Honda was loath to mess with the formula during the CR-V's 2012 redesign. The car's length and width haven't strayed more than a fraction of an inch, and the wheelbase is identical. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder continues as the lone engine offering, although output is increased fractionally, to 185 hp and 163 pound-feet of torque. The engine is once again mated to a five-speed automatic, even as six-speed auto boxes have become the norm.
Nor is the design of Honda's compact people mover a great departure -- more's the pity. The new version looks larger than its predecessor, with a new variation on the previous model's strange, pinched side glass area; perhaps it's an attempt to inject some motion into this blocky shape. Neither is the interior design anything exciting, with acres of gray plastic and -- in my EX-L test car -- leather that looks and feels like something engineered to shrug off a spilled ice-cream cone. It's an unspectacular cabin, unless you're talking utility. Interior space is vast, and the cabin feels wide and airy. The back seat is particularly roomy, and a flat floor helps make it habitable for three. The cargo hold is easy to load thanks to an ultra-low floor. And there are stowage cubbies everywhere. In typical Honda fashion, the controls and switches are easy to use -- excepting those surrounding the navigation screen, graphics of which are dated. A (much-needed) backup camera is standard. The CR-V's similarly unassuming powertrain is also undeniably effective. Direct injection and turbocharging are nowhere to be found, but Honda was able to coax another 2-to-3 mpg out of this engine, bringing the EPA ratings up to a respectable 23/31 mpg (FWD) and 22/30 mpg (AWD). A button on the dash engages Eco mode; unfortunately, it snuffs out throttle response and makes the transmission cling stubbornly to higher gears. Switch it off, and the powertrain is far more agreeable, although the CR-V isn't exactly quick -- particularly at highway speeds -- and the engine note at times is a dull moan. The electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system, which is new with the 2012 model, works flawlessly, sending power to the rear wheels before the front tires have a chance to chirp or spin. Torque steer is not an issue, and Honda has done a good job tuning both the CR-V's electric power steering and the suspension. Unsurprisingly, however, both favor relaxed driving over lively cornering. Unsurprising and relaxed could describe the CR-V overall. It's neither flashy nor exciting but it is well executed. Combine that with Honda's enviable reputation for reliability, and you've likely got what it takes to make this CR-V as ubiquitous as the last one. Courtesy of Autoblog
Thank you to the authors of these reviews for sharing your experience with us! Great job team!

- We saw an ad online for a Chrysler Pacifica. Drove over the next day, and are now the proud owners of a beautiful car. The whole experience was good. The only down falls were, the car wasn't cleaned, ie car washed. And let with less then a quarter of a tank. Would have liked a Full Tank of Gas, and a complete detail. But whatever. That's the only we'd change, otherwise keep up the good work. And thank you :) -Lizcos03
- I had been trying to locate a specific car. Went on Honda website and submitted "request for quote" Received an answer within 5 minutes. Drove there and bought car within an hour. Great quote. Nice sales people. -Kta511
- Joe Frattarola was only working at White Plains Honda for about a month when we met him. He was very personable and not pushy at all. He worked hard for us to make sure our experience was positive. If he did not have an answer for us, he made sure he found one. Joe made the purchase of our Certified Used Honda CR-V easy and pleasant. We would buy another car from Joe and we will recommend him to our friends. -Kgrutz

- I had a great experience yesterday buying a car for my daughter. Keith was friendly, funny , very helpful and extreamly accomidating. He worked with me on my schedule which was very hectic and streamlined everything so it took less than an hour to complete the sale. Additionally he and another salesman drove the car to my home so my daughter would have it when she returned home. I also liked the whole office the man ( whose name I don't remember)who did the financing was also very very nice and friendly. This is the 3rd car I have bought from them. It was actually fun doing business with this dealership I would recommend them hightly and without reservation! -Kinigstein
- My experience was good with one exception. I had a satellite radio installed and expected it to be integrated with my radio but it isn't, and I asked for a refund but was given all weather mats and a cargo tray instead. -Naomisaxe
